Thank you for choosing Sheree Hartung Photography as your portrait photographer! I’ve created this document to inspire and help you create a photography session that expresses YOU!
PROPS: I encourage you to bring props to your portrait session! It’s a fun way to express your interests, hobbies, and personalities. For those that feel nervous in front of a camera, props tend to calm nerves because it gives your hands something to do. I’ve included a list below of prop ideas, but feel free to expand on this list and bring whatever you’d like!
- Picnic items
- Food (cupcakes/cookies/wine/wine glasses)
- Wooden numbers/letters
- Paper banners
Blanket: I strongly suggest bringing a blanket to our session together, whether or not you choose to bring additional props. It protects your clothing, and maximizes the variety of poses we can accomplish because we’re not worried about bugs/dirt/etc.
WHAT TO WEAR: “What should I wear?” is one of the most common questions that I’m asked! Here are three helpful links with great tips on how to coordinate clothing but not be too matchy-matchy, colour combination ideas, as well as the “do’s” and “dont’s” of outfit planning. (Click on each of the links below)
YOUR INSPIRATION: I love to inspire my clients, but I also love to know what inspires you! Please feel free to send me prop ideas, outfit options, your Pinterest boards, or whatever you’d like. I’m here and happy to help you design a session that best expresses YOU!
COLOUR COMBINATIONS: I know this photo is of yarn sets, but I love all of these colours together! These colours are great together, and it’s a good place to start brainstorming!
